Truer Words Never Spoken

The following words are from Daniel Webster 168 years ago.
Gut the education system, and add the FOX "Rove-neo-con" network..and voila! jw

"I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter -- from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government. From their carelessness and negligence I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct. That in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing. Make them intelligent and they will be vigilant. Give them the means of detecting the wrong and they will apply the remedy."

-- Daniel Webster, 1837

Homesick but happy

The cherry blossoms are in blume - the sun is shining and all I can think about is how much I MISS THE GIANTS!!!!! I know that I should be talking about how much I miss my Son (24), and Daughter(soon to be 21), that are living in California. They know, and you can probably imagine. But Damn! Spring has sprung and I am living in a "Dry" state - so to speak. I want to watch Jason Schmidt pitch...I'd settle for Radio. And herein lies the rub. Without out paying HUGE amounts of money, I am S.O.L. No KNBR. No Kruke and Kype. MLB.com want's money to listen to broadcasts that are FREE in SF. It's like some kind of whacko reverse blackout BS. Not that anybody reads my blog, and I am working on a post that explains everything about everything, but if you are out there, and you know a way that I can pick up KNBR radio out here in Nashville for free, PLEASE let me know.
Bye Bye Baby! (if you ever lived in SF you will understand)
